How Could You Use Monograms Throughout Your Wedding?
We all remember our first schoolgirl crushes. We would take out our notebook, and scribble that cute little boy’s initial next to our own, draw hearts around it and skip about our day. As we grew, some of us would carve our initials plus theirs onto more permanent fixtures such as trees and restaurant tables. Today monograms (a fancy term for those sweet initials) are found in new and modern ways throughout wedding themes.
Here are some new ways to use your monogram at your wedding!
You can start using your monogram from the very start on your wedding invitations! They can be incorporated on the top of the invitation as well as on the envelope.
You can use the monogram on décor such as the doors to the wedding or reception. Also throughout the reception on favors, chairs and more!
You can use the monogram as a wedding topper, or part of your wedding cake, or how about these cute wedding cookies?

Another cool idea is something that your DJ can do. How about light up the room with your monogram?
You can use you and your fiancé’s initials throughout your wedding to let the world see you’re truly uniting and your initials plus his equals forever for real! Here at Freshly Minted Invitations we would love to help you create the perfect monogram and invitation. Let’s work together to shout your love to the world.

This is your special day and your special event. It is all about you, and the love that you want to share with the world. Your wedding takes many hours of planning and one way that many brides choose to streamline and simplify their decisions is by choosing a theme. This theme can help the bride when choosing colors, decorations, brides maid and wedding dresses, and even the location.
After you have chosen your theme you can incorporate it into your wedding even down to the smallest details. One of the ways that you can proudly display your theme is through your wedding invitations. These invitations are often one of the first introductions of your theme to your wedding guests. Through this important invitation your guests will be able to see the style and theme of your wedding. They will know if your wedding is formal or informal, a destination wedding, or if it has a unique dress code or style.
Your invitation wording, its colors, font, and design can all be personalized and uniquely crafted to fit your special day! This invitation will be something that many people will save and cherish, and that you will place carefully in your wedding album. It’s a symbol of your special day and a momentous moment in your life.

Wedding Programs- What They Are and Cool Ideas How to Use Them
Many brides wonder what wedding programs are and why they even really need them. The wedding program is a place where you can honor special people who attend or may not be able to attend your wedding. It’s also a place where you can introduce your wedding party. If your wedding contains rituals or traditions that some of your guests may be unfamiliar with, such as religious traditions, it can help explain them to your guests. Wedding programs also allow your guests to keep an eye on the series of events. They will be able to see what’s coming up next.
Wedding programs are another thing that you can fully customize and personalize for your wedding. They come in a variety of styles and wording. Programs can be any color, shape, size, or design to match your wedding colors, tastes and preferences. You can either find cool DIY wedding programs, or you can hire a professional such as Freshly Minted Invitations to create your unique program.
Here are some cool ideas how to use wedding programs:
Functional- Your guests will love programs that they can use for other things. One popular multi-functional program is the fan! You can create a fan out of your program to keep your guests cool. Another idea is to print your reception menu on the back or infuse the programs into your seating décor.
Photos- Wedding programs with photos will make beautiful keepsakes for you guests. They can even frame them, and save them for later!
Silly Stories - You can add your personality and vibe with cute ‘how we met’ stories, and your wedding parties names infused throughout.
Fun for all- You could also do cute crossword puzzles to test the knowledge of your guests; including questions about the couple, the honeymoon, and more. Another cute old school idea is to be creative with the paper. You can make cute ‘cootie catchers’ or origami.
Eco-Friendly- Share your love of the environment with your guests, and be green! You can use paper bags filled with bird seed as your program. This would be great with 2013’s increasingly popular bird them. You could also fill the bag with flower seeds that they can plant later.
However you decide to express your creativity through your wedding programs they will be something that both you and your guests can enjoy. If you need help creating your perfect wedding program, contact us here at Freshly Minted Invitations. We would love to work with you to create your unique design.
What Type of RSVP Card Should You Choose?
RSVP cards are often a necessary evil. They are a way to find out exactly how many people will be attending your wedding or reception and sometimes their meal preference. While it can be difficult to decide on the wording on your RSVP card, and often controversial, one of the other decisions to be made is the type of RSVP card. Here are a few options available and the pros and cons of each.
1. Include a card with a self-addressed stamped envelope.

-Traditional or formal approach and is often expected
-Can make it classy and match your invites
-You can include slightly more information
Cons-
-People don’t send them back, and waste the postage
-Difficult to read handwriting, or illegible
-Stamps are expensive
-Not very “Green”
2. RSVP postcard stamped
Pros- -Cheaper, because a postcard stamp costs less
-Convenient for your guests to just drop in the mail

Cons-
-People forget to send
-Less formal
3. E-mail Address RSVP
Pros
- Easy for you to organize and keep in spreadsheets on your computer
- Quicker than waiting for snail mail.
- You avoid issues with ‘returned mail, unknown address, or lost mail
Cons
- Your older guests or technologically impaired guests may have trouble
- If someone mistypes your email address or it is incorrect you may not receive RSVP
- Junk mail folder may receive messages
- Not everyone has an email address (back to the older guests)
4. Online RSVP through Wedding Wire and other wedding websites.
Pros
-Cheaper, and easier to keep track of your responses
-Greener (less paper, saves the environment from waste)
-Instant gratification
-Can fit additional information on a website
Cons-
-Appears casual, and may not be taken seriously. Many may not do it.
-Older guests may have trouble
-Technical issues with the website (either people can’t find it or it has issues)
-People might respond multiple times and throw off your count
No matter which RSVP card option you choose there will always be someone who thinks that you should’ve done it another way. Just remember that this is your special day! Keep your guests in mind, and try to make it easier on them, but make sure you do what’s best for yourself as well! It’s important to have an accurate headcount and only you know the most efficient way for your special event.
